The Foundation replaced a frail, leaking home with a solid, newly roofed house for a vulnerable family — a warm, dry, dignified place to call home, handed over with the community.
Our initiatives
Shelter
Everyone should have a place they can call home. Roofing is what Uganda Baati does — so shelter is where the Foundation can do the most with what it has.
A leaking roof is a health problem, a schooling problem and a water problem all at once. Every roof the Foundation donates is specified for rainwater harvesting and, where it helps, solar water heating — so the same sheets that keep the rain out also bring water in and cut power bills.
